About the Image Analyzer
The Image Analyzer allows you to upload an image and view its basic properties (name, type, size, dimensions) and inspect its EXIF metadata if present. It also provides an interactive dialog to zoom and pan the image for detailed examination.
Why Use This Tool?
Understanding image properties and metadata can be useful for web development (e.g., for responsive design), photography (e.g., checking camera settings), or debugging image-related issues. The zoom and pan feature helps in inspecting fine details of an image.
Example Use Cases
- Checking the dimensions and file size of an image before using it on a website.
- Viewing EXIF data of a photograph to see camera settings, date taken, etc.
- Zooming into a section of an image to check for artifacts or details.
Pro Tips
- EXIF Data: Not all images contain EXIF metadata. It's commonly found in JPEGs from digital cameras but might be stripped by image editing software or during uploads to some platforms.
- Panning: When the image is zoomed in the dialog, you can click and drag the image to view different parts.
